Lensbaby fisheye shot of clouds over Mira Mesa
I love the sky when it’s like this, because most of the time in Mira Mesa we have either cloudless skies or the dull gray marine layer overhead. I shot this with my new Lensbaby Muse (which I won randomly by attending a Digital Photo Academy workshop at Nelson Photo in La Jolla) using the fisheye optic.

Sunset and sailboats at Catalina Island's Little Harbor
A friend and I spent a couple nights camping this week at Little Harbor on Catalina Island. I didn’t go there intending for it to be a photo exhibition, but I did bring my aging Nikon D70 in case we stumbled across some interesting vistas.
The first evening was cloudless and the sunset was pretty bland, but on Wednesday night there were scattered low clouds that gave the sky a little nice texture.
