Bikini parade world record attempt

The folks behind San Diego Bikini Week try unsuccessfully to set a new world record for the most women in a bikini parade. The previous record was 297; it wasn’t clear how many were in this parade in San Diego’s Gaslamp District, but you can see that each woman is wearing a numbered badge and at the end of the line were two jokester guys covered with leftover badges.

In Rancho Penasquitos Canyon

I wandered over to Rancho Penasquitos Canyon the other week in search of interesting sunset shots. Unfortunately the setting sun just sort of vanished into the murky cloud bank that hovers over the San Diego County shoreline this time of year, but I did take a few interesting shots in the golden light before it faded away.
